About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business, functional, and technical requirements
- Review business requirements, user stories, workflow documentation, and acceptance criteria to ensure complete testing coverage
- Develop positive, negative, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance test scenarios supporting enterprise healthcare applications
- Create and maintain test data supporting manual and automated testing activities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, Test Engineers, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate expected system behavior
- Maintain requirements traceability between business requirements, test cases, defects, and production releases
- Support Configuration and Integration Testing (CIT), deployment validation, and production readiness activities
- Review test execution results and recommend improvements to testing strategies and overall software quality
- Maintain testing documentation, test repositories, and quality records supporting governance and audit activities
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve testing methodologies, documentation standards, and quality assurance processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Five (5) years of experience developing software test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation within enterprise IT environments
- Experience translating business requirements into comprehensive testing scenarios and acceptance criteria
- Experience maintaining requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid software development methodologies
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM, Selenium, TestRail, or similar testing and defect management tools is preferred
- ISTQB Foundation Level, Certified Software Tester (CSTE), or equivalent testing certification is preferred
- Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance
