About the role
- Provide analysis for the organization related to key areas around pricing, reserving, or other analytical specialties
- Assist and complete actuarial analysis related to pricing, reserving, and other analytical projects
- Support preparation of quarterly rate indications and reserve analysis by gathering data, running standard reports, and performing basic calculations
- Suggest product and pricing changes to sustain growth and improve profitability
- Perform a variety of actuarial analyses regarding core product lines and others
- Research and summarize useful information on competitors' products, pricing, and activities
- Identify problems affecting policy output and rating and work with applicable personnel to achieve improvements
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field is required or experience commensurate with the role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel required, with working knowledge of SQL desired
- Pursuing actuarial exams is a plus
