About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and versioned shared modules
  • Manage and evolve Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, Helm charts, and Istio service-mesh configuration across environments
  • Build and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines supporting trunk-based merges to main
  • Support provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud-hosted environments
  • Manage secrets through AWS Secrets Manager and enforce least-privilege IAM policies
  • Participate in infrastructure code reviews
  • Contribute to incident resolution and infrastructure postmortem reviews
  • Produce infrastructure documentation and share knowledge with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate in an on-call rotation when applicable, including potential night and weekend coverage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Terraform preferred; CloudFormation knowledge accepted
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm for containerized workloads
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • AWS certification preferred
  • Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD) preferred
  • Experience with Istio or another service mesh technology
  • Experience with Aurora Postgres or other managed relational database services
  • Experience with EKS or other container orchestration platforms
  • Experience authoring and maintaining reusable, versioned Terraform modules
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Splunk
  • Experience in capacity planning and dynamic infrastructure scaling
  • Experience implementing rolling, blue/green, or canary deployment strategies
  • Experience managing infrastructure with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript for infrastructure tooling scripts
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving distributed systems and infrastructure dependencies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Agile practices
  • Equivalent practical experience may substitute for the stated bachelor’s degree
