About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with VSC’s Group Product Manager and Engineering Director to set and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Champion quality and user-centered design principles across everything your team builds and ships.
- Manage and mentor a small team of designers, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence in design practices.
- Design, prototype and ship experiences that help users make smarter financial decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Research, Design Systems, Data Analytics, and Product Design Ops to elevate your team’s thinking and execution.
- Collaborate with other Product Design Team Leads to drive visibility and cohesion across groups and continuously improve our design process.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously elevate the product and the team’s capabilities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have at least 8 years of experience in user experience design or a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of impactful design solutions and effective team leadership.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a role with design management responsibilities.
- You are proficient in Figma and the first to try to make your process more efficient through Claude, ChatGPT and Figma’s latest releases.
- You are not only an effective executor but also a skilled mentor, capable of leading initiatives from concept to completion while guiding other team members.
- You excel at collaborating, synthesizing feedback and driving projects forward, even when there are differing opinions in the room.
