About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct or indirect patient care in accordance with treatment plans delegated by a licensed nurse
Clean equipment, change bed linens, stock supplies, and prepare rooms for admissions
Provide nutritional, skin integrity, elimination, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and comfort care
Perform clinical duties under RN supervision, including vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG, finger-stick glucose, and admission/discharge processes
Collect and properly dispose of specimens
Assist with ambulation, transfers, and lift devices
Respond to patient call lights and patient/family assistance requests
Assist with post-mortem care
Maintain a focused area of responsibility and support unit/department operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum age requirement: 18
High School or GED (preferred)
1 year experience in a Patient Care Technician role (preferred)
Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, or squatting and medium physical work requirements
Ability to meet department-specific skills and competency expectations
Ability to follow department safety initiatives
