About the role
- Works collaboratively with medical team to develop treatment planning strategies.
- Responsible for making appropriate referrals and discharge planning of patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
- Participate in daily group counseling efforts of the unit.
- Responsible for acting as the primary Individual Counselor for patients in their recovery process.
Requirements
- Two years of college with specialization in chemical dependency or other human services area.
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: CASAC
- Required: Two years of continuous abstinence, if recovering.
- Preferred: One year of full-time employment in an inpatient setting.
