About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement Data Sciences products and quantitative drug development strategies
  • Lead and/or support multiple elements of the drug development process across clinical trial phases
  • Review opportunities to simplify and innovate, collaborating with DSS, PDD, and other experts
  • Support prioritization efforts and make considered decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead or contribute technical expertise to strategic planning, communication, and implementation
  • Represent DSS and PDD across Roche's global organization and collaborate with Global Health Authorities
  • Build partnerships across stakeholders to support Roche products, programs, processes, systems, and compliance
  • Broaden knowledge and capabilities across specialties and disease areas
  • Coach, mentor, or act as a buddy to help colleagues develop
  • Contribute technical, therapeutic, and business expertise in data science, drug development, technologies, data, statistics, programming, software, standards, privacy, and process improvement
  • Explore innovative tools and technologies for modernized insight generation
  • Build expertise in novel data types, statistical methods, programming languages, and analytical methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College/University degree – bachelor degree or higher or equivalent education in scientific, medical or relevant technical discipline
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred
  • Understanding of the end-to-end drug development lifecycle, particularly relevant to the Specialty of interest
  • Track record of establishing successful internal partnerships and collaborations
  • Influential and confident communicator
  • Experience with, or adaptability to, modern ways of working consistent with an agile and growth mindset, agile behaviors, and methodologies
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work across multiple cultures and countries
  • Knowledge of GCP, international regulations, guidelines, and their application is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required
