About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Design Control Excellence US Subchapter
  • Ensure the delivery of process support activities in alignment with stakeholders
  • Organize work packages within assigned timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Manage project-related interactions with R&D Networks and other global and local functions
  • Drive efforts to gain efficiency within development projects
  • Identify, communicate, manage, and escalate project issues and risks in a timely manner
  • Design and optimize team members’ personal professional journeys
  • Coach direct reports and collaborate closely with global peers
  • Hire and train new staff and ensure state-of-the-art technical know-how
  • Lead process enhancement activities
  • Integrate organizational change management activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in natural or engineering sciences or a similar discipline
  • At least 8 years of industry experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a diagnostics development environment
  • Proven track record of successful line management experience
  • Deep experience in Diagnostics product development activities
  • Thorough understanding of Quality Management Systems
  • Broad knowledge of R&D and related processes
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
  • Good balance between compliance, efficiency, and risk-taking
  • Ability to strategically navigate a changing organization
  • Respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication, and consensus-building skills
