About the role
- Use your immunology and clinical expertise to advance the Immunology portfolio
- Build and implement clinical development strategy for assets
- Develop and communicate clinical strategic options considering speed, technical, regulatory, business and operational needs
- Provide clinical and development expertise for projects in discovery
- Lead clinical teams ensuring high performing teams capable of progressing projects
- Build and support partnering strategies and contribute to evaluation of external partnering opportunities
- Represent the Immunology Early Development group internally and externally at conferences
Requirements
- MD required with Board Certification in gastroenterology
- Clinical or research experience in Inflammatory Bowel Disease is preferred
- Significant experience in clinical development, obtained in academia, large pharma or biotech
- Experience in early clinical development of new molecular entities preferred
- Established scientific expertise in gastrointestinal research through a PhD or demonstrable track record of scientific and/or clinical research
- Evidence of leadership expertise, either in a matrix or line management context
