About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide daily and on-call end-user support focused on software-hardware integration
Diagnose and resolve issues remotely or face-to-face for radar deployments
Oversee database, system, and server performance
Manage security and functionality updates
Remotely monitor system stability to safeguard uptime metrics
Address malfunction issues during client visits
Analyze root causes and repair or replace faulty software or hardware components
Configure system networking using Netplan on Ubuntu for VLANs, static routing, and sensors
Resolve Ubuntu stack failures, system services, log analysis, and kernel module issues
Conduct regular remote or on-site inspections using monitoring tools
Analyze first-line data to uncover trends and solve technical problems
Share feedback with Product teams
Manage subcontractors on location to ensure compliance with service contracts and quality standards
Support on-site installations and product demonstrations when needed
Functionally report to the S&S Systems Manager and dotted-line report to the General Manager North America
Collaborate with Project Management, Product Owners, and I&D teams
Ensure reliable operation, uptime, and stability of Robin Radar's radar systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
3-5 years of electrical engineering experience combining software, Linux, and field hardware
Solid hands-on Ubuntu Linux administration including system services, log analysis, and package management
Strong network configuration skills using Netplan, SSH, port forwarding, firewalls, and routing
Experience with radar systems or similar industrial hardware
Ability to analyze network diagrams and trace connectivity issues effectively
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a team-first, practical mindset
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Valid driver's license for North America
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and background check as part of the screening process
