About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide daily and on-call end-user support focused on software-hardware integration
  • Diagnose and resolve issues remotely or face-to-face for radar deployments
  • Oversee database, system, and server performance
  • Manage security and functionality updates
  • Remotely monitor system stability to safeguard uptime metrics
  • Address malfunction issues during client visits
  • Analyze root causes and repair or replace faulty software or hardware components
  • Configure system networking using Netplan on Ubuntu for VLANs, static routing, and sensors
  • Resolve Ubuntu stack failures, system services, log analysis, and kernel module issues
  • Conduct regular remote or on-site inspections using monitoring tools
  • Analyze first-line data to uncover trends and solve technical problems
  • Share feedback with Product teams
  • Manage subcontractors on location to ensure compliance with service contracts and quality standards
  • Support on-site installations and product demonstrations when needed
  • Functionally report to the S&S Systems Manager and dotted-line report to the General Manager North America
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Product Owners, and I&D teams
  • Ensure reliable operation, uptime, and stability of Robin Radar's radar systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience combining software, Linux, and field hardware
  • Solid hands-on Ubuntu Linux administration including system services, log analysis, and package management
  • Strong network configuration skills using Netplan, SSH, port forwarding, firewalls, and routing
  • Experience with radar systems or similar industrial hardware
  • Ability to analyze network diagrams and trace connectivity issues effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a team-first, practical mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Valid driver's license for North America
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and background check as part of the screening process
