About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with diverse teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage research, development, prototyping, and testing phases to ensure successful project completion.
- Standardise and maintain critical project documentation (FAT, SAT, risk registers, status reports, etc.) and ensure all technical ‘as-built’ information is accurate and complete before handover.
- Create and manage budget estimates while ensuring the availability of necessary resources.
- Ensure projects adhere to all relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders.
- Oversee launch activities, including coordinating marketing and sales support efforts.
- Analyse performance data post-launch and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A BEng/MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Over 6 years of experience in development projects within an engineering role, with at least 2 years in a project management capacity.
- Solid understanding of product development methodologies and best practices; experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA) will be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in project management and issue-tracking software (e.g. MS Project, Jira) and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Odoo).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance is advantageous.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to successfully deliver projects.
- Adaptable and assertive, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving improvements.
