About the role
- Boost engineering capacity within the radar team and focus on safety and certification
- Pick up ongoing certifications (e.g., US certificates for MAX) and military standards for IRIS; initiate upcoming certifications
- Assess product changes for compliance impact and make plans to ensure future compliance
- Plan and execute pre-compliance and (re)certification tests (internal and external)
- Manage and mature internal pre-compliance testing capabilities
- Translate norms into tests and interpret results to provide product improvement advice
- Identify regulatory compliance requirements during project conceptual phase
- Generate means of compliance, project certification basis, safety assessments, and regulatory materials
- Identify appropriate certification paths with foreign regulatory agencies
- Keep current product certificates up-to-date with laws and regulations
- Compose and update test plans for STANAG, EN-NEN, and FCC approval processes
- Mature internal test capabilities (electrical safety, EMI/EMC)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar
- Minimum of five years in the field of compliance testing
- Solid technical background in EMI/EMC tests
- Knowledge of RED testing
- Thorough understanding of international regulatory standards, like FCC and DNV
- Knowledge of military standards is a plus
- Proficiency in planning and reporting
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Must live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague
- May be required to provide a certificate of conduct (VOG) depending on role
