About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain core services and infrastructure that power Roadie’s logistics platform
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure reliability and scalability
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and other engineers to design and deliver high-impact features
  • Serve as a technical owner for key services and components, providing guidance and mentorship within your team
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews, helping raise the technical bar across the team
  • Take projects from concept to production, balancing pragmatism with technical excellence
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to our architecture and processes

Requirements

  • At least 6+ years of software architecture and software development experience
  • Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, and API design
  • Proficiency in Golang or Ruby
  • Experience working with or migrating from monolithic architectures
  • A problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills
  • A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to team success
