About the role
- Develop and implement a company-wide Lean roadmap tailored to renewable-energy services (field operations, project execution, O&M, engineering, procurement, logistics)
- Train, coach, and mentor employees and field leaders on Lean principles, tools, and behaviors
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization
- Conduct value-stream mapping (VSM) of critical workflows (project mobilization, resource management, QA/QC, cost tracking, procurement, etc.)
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, increase productivity, and accelerate project timelines
- Implement standardized work, visual management, 5S and error-proofing
- Partner with project managers, field supervisors, and field crews to optimize site layouts, material flow, labor utilization, and equipment deployment
- Reduce downtime, rework, and bottlenecks on solar/wind/storage job sites
- Lead performance-tracking and weekly/monthly “bowler” rollouts
- Collaborate with QA/QC to improve defect-prevention, inspection processes, and feedback loops
- Use data (KPIs, dashboards, field reports) to identify trends and prioritize improvement initiatives
- Drive root-cause analysis (RCA) using 5-Whys, fishbone diagrams, etc.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, HSE, finance, and IT teams
- Support standardization of tools, templates, and systems to support scalable growth
- Ensure Lean initiatives align with business objectives and management expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Lean, continuous improvement, operations excellence, or process engineering
- Hands-on experience applying Lean tools in operational or industrial environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver measurable results
- Experience in renewable energy (solar, wind, storage), utility services, EPC, or construction
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Experience working in a high-growth, private-equity-backed or field-services environment
- Knowledge of PMO practices, project controls, and field-execution workflows
