About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare monthly consolidated GAAP financial statements.
  • Account for share-based compensation and calculate diluted shares outstanding.
  • Prepare earnings releases and draft financial statements and disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings, specifically Form 10-Q and 10-K.
  • Manage the review and submission of iXBRL tagging for SEC filings.
  • Maintain GAAP accounting policies and procedures; research and implement new accounting guidance.
  • Prepare financial analyses and summaries for management and the board of directors.
  • Serve as a contact for external auditors; support quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Perform accounting for fixed assets, leases and impairment analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Participate in or lead special projects, as assigned.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of related experience [OR] equivalent level of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and related disclosures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to research and apply accounting guidance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large datasets
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present findings to management
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, pay attention to detail and manage multiple priorities.
