About the role
- The Radio News Editor is responsible for leading the planning, production and delivery of high-quality radio news
- Coordinating and directing radio newscasts and current affairs programmes
- Managing the editorial process from story selection to on-air execution
- Providing general supervision, coaching and performance guidance to radio news staff
Requirements
- At least six (6) years’ experience in a newsroom environment
- Daily editorial decision-making and running orders
- Leading or contributing to editorial meetings and conferences
- Experience producing or anchoring radio newscasts and current affairs programmes
- Proven experience working in a multiplatform newsroom
