About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, including morning loadout/check-in monitoring, delivery activity, motor carrier needs, and customer service
Ensure timely reporting of loadout/returns compliance and motor carrier compliance
Maintain professional working relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and department managers
Supervise and review route monitoring using client-specific software
Supervise and perform the check-in process for reschedules returned by motor carriers
Process and monitor returns through the client portal
Move inventory safely using material handling equipment as needed
Serve as a main point of contact for client escalations
Schedule orders and notify customers of next-day delivery time windows
Assist CDT/RTD with proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of delivery issues
Supervise Operations Coordinators and provide feedback and coaching

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
Strong people and operations supervisory skills
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills, including conflict resolution
Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
Ability to embrace new technology
Operations or final-mile delivery experience preferred
Ability to remain stationary for long periods and work in a standing position
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, email, and computer-related messaging
May require extended work hours and travel
Must bring appropriate documents to confirm authorization to work in the United States upon request
