About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, including morning loadout/check-in monitoring, delivery activity, motor carrier needs, and customer service
  • Ensure timely reporting of loadout/returns compliance and motor carrier compliance
  • Maintain professional working relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and department managers
  • Supervise and review route monitoring using client-specific software
  • Supervise and perform the check-in process for reschedules returned by motor carriers
  • Process and monitor returns through the client portal
  • Move inventory safely using material handling equipment as needed
  • Serve as a main point of contact for client escalations
  • Schedule orders and notify customers of next-day delivery time windows
  • Assist CDT/RTD with proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of delivery issues
  • Supervise Operations Coordinators and provide feedback and coaching

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • Strong people and operations supervisory skills
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including conflict resolution
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to embrace new technology
  • Operations or final-mile delivery experience preferred
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods and work in a standing position
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, email, and computer-related messaging
  • May require extended work hours and travel
  • Must bring appropriate documents to confirm authorization to work in the United States upon request
