About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serves as the Finance representative for the acute care hospital(s) and integration of non-acute services.
Supports operating groups, identifying opportunities for process improvements, revenue enhancements, cost containments, and business and market share growth.
Works in conjunction with Accounting, Reimbursement, Budget, Cost Accounting, Revenue Integrity, and Decision Support areas.
Analyzes data from multiple sources using Excel, Access, SQL, etc. for decision making.
Completes proformas, financial analysis, monthly cash and allowance forecasts, long range planning, and assists with budgeting.
Performs monthly analytical assessments and creates progress reports for management.
Performs data mining of department data structures to uncover trends in financial performance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors Degree, Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or Business Administration/Finance (Required).
3-4 years related Healthcare finance experience (Required).
Aptitude and ability to extract data from information systems using various report writers and software packages.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel required (VBA preferred).
Working knowledge of databases and database software required.
Ability to work independently, is flexible and has the ability to prioritize workload.
Strong problem solving, data analysis, and decision making skills.
Requires professional written and verbal communication skills.
Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) (Preferred).
