About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prospect for new business, developing relationships with builders, developers, property managers and others.
- Plan and maintain adequate cold and warm calls/leads to cover market
- Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements and project preferences
- Conduct site inspections and assessments.
- Prepare and present proposals in complete and professional manner, according to company standards
- Draft design concepts that align with customer needs and budget
- Create a final design using computer-aided design software
- Ensure all estimates are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting to customer
- Prepare and present approved proposals in a complete and professional manner
- Maintain records and track all proposals in progress and make timely follow-ups to maximize sales opportunities.
- Aggressively pursue all proposals in progress
- Effective communication with project managers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Anticipate customer needs with positive solutions in a timely manner, assists in the sales of change orders and extra contracted work
- Conduct customer walk-throughs and collect payments if necessary
- Awareness of billing and collection status on all projects/customers.
- Advise on credits or collections and work with production and/or customer to get any collection issues resolved for work sold
- Develop repeat and/or referral business from customers
- Assist with overall sales and marketing initiatives for Company
- Respond to all inquiries and requests for bid in a timely manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture and/or relevant experience
- Knowledge of or ability to learn computer applications and industry specific customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy
