About the role
- Lead analytical coverage of the Americas LPG/NGLs, naphtha, and light ends markets, distilling trade, supply-demand, and pricing dynamics into clear, forward-looking insights.
- Produce regular research reports, data-driven commentary, and market outlooks that become benchmarks for customers and internal stakeholders alike.
- Partner closely with Commercial teams to support sales meetings, client pitches, and retention efforts with high-quality market analysis and tailored insights.
- Act as a Vortexa industry spokesperson and thought leader, presenting at conferences, webinars, and client events, and contributing to major news outlets and industry publications.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts and Product teams to maintain and enhance data quality, ensure analytical consistency, and guide continuous improvements to our platform.
- Engage directly with market participants to capture evolving trends, test hypotheses, and refine our understanding of the global energy landscape.
- Work closely with global analyst colleagues in London, Dubai, and Singapore to integrate regional perspectives into a single, cohesive global market view.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in LPG/NGLs and related light ends markets (minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally across analytics, trading, or research).
- Strong command of refining and petrochemical value chains, supply/demand fundamentals, pricing structures, and freight economics.
- Demonstrated ability to produce market research reports, presentations, and client deliverables independently and on deadline.
- A confident, persuasive communicator capable of representing Vortexa’s insights in client meetings, media interviews, or industry events.
- Experience collaborating with commercial teams to translate analysis into sales value and client impact.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools.
- A results-driven mindset, balancing strong intellectual curiosity with the discipline to prioritize and deliver under pressure.

- Prior public speaking experience (panel discussions, media commentary, or conference presentations).
- Exposure to data validation, quality assurance, or product development processes.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading analytical projects.
- Deep knowledge of specific product niches or regional markets.
