About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation and case management.
- Creating case reports, summaries, and legal documents tailored to specific case documentation.
- Preparing professional correspondence and basic legal motions.
- Scheduling prehearing conferences, hearings, and settlement conferences.
- Coordinating and scheduling independent medical examinations and appointments.
- Organizing file materials and indexing voluminous medical records chronologically.
- Managing the firm's docketing and calendaring systems to track critical litigation deadlines and events.
- Communicating proactively with supervising attorneys regarding task statuses and case updates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience in workers' compensation defense is highly preferred.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office (specifically Word) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
- Experience with case management billing tools like Centerbase and NetDocs is beneficial but not required.
- A Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
