- Equipment Valuation: Accurately value appraised packages of agricultural and related equipment submitted by Territory Managers across Canada.
- Regional Engagement: Occasional Travel to Canadian sales locations to build relationships with sales teams and agricultural clients.
- Strategic Input: Share insights and market perspectives with field managers on each valuation file.
- Workshops: Set up and facilitate at least two Appraisal Workshops per year within the Canadian agricultural regions.
- Market Intelligence: Assist Marketing and VP, Valuations by preparing monthly reports on agricultural market trends and intel, drawn from regional conversations and conference calls.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the broader Appraisal Group to stay ahead of asset-specific market shifts and share best practices.
- Market Awareness: Maintain constant awareness of Canadian and global agricultural market trends, with a broad view of assets typically appraised by Ritchie Bros.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities to prospect for new agricultural business, develop leads, and strengthen client networks.
- Perform other duties as required in support of Ritchie Bros.’ Canadian Agricultural business.
Requirements
- Education: Post-secondary education in agriculture, finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with agricultural or heavy equipment.
- Proven experience building client relationships in agricultural markets.
- Track record of collaborative team engagement and leadership influence.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; French is an asset.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Superior planning, organizational, and detail orientation.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to maintain a sense of humor under pressure.
