Key responsibilities & impact

Carry out accurate and timely external financial reporting and internal financial analysis while working with various stakeholders.
Contribute and support key initiatives including standardization and process improvements, including compliance with SOX and accounting standards.
Prepare detailed and succinct financial analysis to assess business performance and trends on a sector, geographic, and consolidated basis.
Prepare portions of the quarterly press release and other disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.
Facilitate the SEC and SEDAR+ filing processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Support the corporate annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
Partner with Financial Control, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to support consolidated reporting requirements.
Assist with annual goodwill impairment assessments by reporting unit.

Requirements

What you’ll need

CPA or equivalent designation (or significant progress towards).
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public company financial reporting, public accounting, or some combination thereof.
Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is an asset.
Technical knowledge of accounting principles and SEC reporting requirements; US GAAP experience is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Experience with MD&A/management commentary and SEC/SEDAR+ filings preferred.
Strategic problem solving.
