Facilities Manager
Ritchie Bros.Facility Manager managing daily operations at the Burnaby office. Responsibilities include maintenance, budgeting, and facility services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide and supervise maintenance and repairs of the buildings, not covered by the landlord
- Provide facility services for tenants per terms of the lease and to report any issues to V.P. Global Operations
- Manage space requirements including ordering additional furniture when required or the installation of additional services (electrical, network or phone) when required
- Manage and administer the security system
- Establish or maintain ongoing relationships with facilities providers including janitorial, general (Non-IT, photocopier) equipment, HVAC systems and furniture maintenance, etc
- Regularly monitor performance of these suppliers and report problems to V.P. Global Operations Support
- Monitor, develop and review all policies and procedures ensuring that operational requirements and all applicable laws are being met and complied with
- Participate with the Health and Safety Committee to monitor and improve safety issues
- Will provide and implement solutions for Building repairs and maintenance
- Will provide input to management and staff for safety issues and policies
- Will provide input to V.P. Global Auction support for any Building improvements
- Will provide guidance to Facility Department to ensure the Burnaby Administration Office is meeting company standards
- Must be able to provide solutions to staff and tenant for any building or safety concerns
- Must be able to problem solve and make sound decisions in regards to building repair and upkeep
- Must be able to oversee projects with outside contractors to meet deadlines
- Must be able to be flexible and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma
- 5 years Supervisory/Management experience in Facility role
- Must have experience with preparing and overseeing budget
- Must possess strong organizational and customer service skills
- Must have some computer skills i.e. Microsoft outlook, excel, word
- Must have a Valid driver’s license.
