About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead IAA’s vehicle reconditioning and enhancement program across the nationwide branch network
  • Own the end-to-end make-ready/enhancement lifecycle, including inspections, light mechanical repairs, detailing/cleaning, keys, paint touch-ups, and de-identification
  • Define ready-for-sale criteria and standard operating procedures
  • Manage Make-Ready Analysts, assign workload, set goals and priorities, coach execution, and conduct performance reviews
  • Lead vendor management and outsourcing strategy, including vendor onboarding, coordination, issue escalation, KPIs, and SLAs
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts; report spend, vendor costs, and program margin
  • Improve billing and cost-capture processes, establish approval checkpoints, and lead cost reviews
  • Partner with regional and branch operations to deploy and sustain the program
  • Create job aids and training, reinforce quality-control checklists and post-enhancement inspection standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety/regulatory requirements and seller SLAs/contract controls
  • Scale enhancement services as a revenue-generating program with Sales, Account Management, Product, IT, Finance, and Analytics
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs and contribute to Remarketing strategic planning and service expansion decisions
  • Set performance metrics tied to cost and cycle-time targets and provide input on staffing, recruitment, and disciplinary actions
  • Report to the Sr. Director—Field Development and Support or another appropriate field operations leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field required
  • MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma (or similar continuous improvement) credentials preferred
  • 7-10+ Years of related experience
  • Experience managing vehicle reconditioning/enhancement operations
  • Experience with vendor management and outsourcing strategy
  • Ability to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts
  • Knowledge of billing, cost-capture, KPIs, SLAs, and contract alignment
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety/regulatory requirements
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration involving Sales, Account Management, Product, IT, Finance, Analytics, Procurement, and Training
