About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and services.
- Prepare and present insurance proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with underwriters and other internal teams to secure optimal coverage for clients.
- Conduct regular account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify potential cross-selling opportunities.
- Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance insurance knowledge and skills.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management or a similar client-facing role
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
