About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with Risepoint’s mission and business objectives
Oversee engaging content for email, intranet, and virtual company meetings
Manage the functional budget for internal communication initiatives in partnership with VP FP&A and CCO
Establish enterprise communication standards, governance, and planning processes
Lead communication planning for business initiatives, organizational changes, executive priorities, and cross-functional programs
Advise executive leadership and craft and disseminate key internal messages
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of internal communication professionals
Provide communication support during organizational changes and maintain employee feedback channels
Measure communication effectiveness using metrics and implement data-driven improvements
Align internal messaging with university partner communications and the Brand Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal communications
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
Experience managing internal communications in a remote or distributed workforce setting
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms used in remote work environments
Master’s degree preferred
Experience in higher education or edtech sectors is a plus
Experience leading executive communications, including strategic messaging, town halls, organizational announcements, and leadership communications
Experience supporting organizational transformation, change management, and enterprise-wide initiatives
Experience building employee engagement and culture initiatives in remote or hybrid work environments
Familiarity with AI-enabled communication tools, communication analytics, and emerging technologies
