About the role

  • Create and implement automated configuration and deployment processes to enhance platform performance, accessibility, and manageability
  • Establish and manage administrator and service accounts, maintain accurate system documentation, and resolve technical issues
  • Utilize scripting tools to craft self-service capabilities within the Platform as a Service (PaaS) to improve developer experience
  • Collaborate closely with developers to diagnose and troubleshoot problems and ensure smooth operations
  • Take operational responsibility for services owned by your team
  • Ensure project success and client satisfaction through reliable platform operations
  • Continuously enhance the product and deliver software that meets user needs
  • Participate in a collaborative, pairing-focused team environment that supports personal development

Requirements

  • 3-6 years in cloud/platform operations or related roles across diverse environments
  • Proficiency in administering Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Expertise in container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes
  • Proficient use of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, with a focus on Terraform
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Linux Operating Systems administration
  • Skilled in developing automation solutions using scripting languages to streamline recurring tasks
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and practical experience involving technologies like Load Balancers, DNS, SSL, Firewalls, NAT, and NTP
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot operating systems and applications effectively
  • Experience handling large-scale production systems and adeptness in resolving production-related challenges
  • Excellent communication skills and interest in collaborative work environments
  • Enthusiasm for skill growth and tackling complex issues
  • Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Located within a commutable distance to El Segundo, CA and able to be onsite in a hybrid capacity
  • Must have an active Top Secret (SCI eligible) security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen (role requires U.S. citizenship and background investigation)
  • Preferred: Linux/Unix CLI troubleshooting, certifications (RHCE, Linux+, MCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Security+, CISSP, CCNA), DevOps automation experience, direct client interaction experience, familiarity with DoD operations/Software Factory
