About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
- Prepare and/or review balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash and bank reconciliations
- Support accounting for debt arrangements, including draws, interest, related debt costs, and covenant compliance monitoring
- Assist with intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Review lease agreements for lessor accounting treatment and revenue recognition under ASC 842
- Prepare invoices for data center lease arrangements
- Assist with entity-level and consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze monthly account and financial trends and provide variance explanations to management
- Maintain documentation and internal controls in compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and SOX controls
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Help develop, document, and maintain standardized accounting policies and processes
- Take on additional accounting-related responsibilities as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting
- ERP system such as NetSuite required
- Working understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 842 and debt-related accounting concepts
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing account reconciliations and monthly journal entries
- Comfortable reviewing the work of others and providing constructive feedback
- Proven ability to interpret contracts and apply technical accounting guidance
- Experience collaborating with team members and cross-functional departments
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail
