About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the overall month-end close functions for the RigUp group
Lead the development of monthly close reviews in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Supervise the Accounting team which includes review of close work and month-end analysis
Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial statements close, and provide insights into results to stakeholders across the company.
Review and manage completion of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for all related entities and accounts
Identify and execute team efficiencies and improvements to the close process through automation, AI, standardization, and collaboration with supporting teams
Support internal and external audits and serve as a contact in the audit process
Work cross-functionally with other groups and serve as their accounting partner, including FP&A, Sales, Product & Engineering and Operational leaders
Research accounting issues for compliance with GAAP as needed
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team including setting clear goals and expectations for team members, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale.
Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the accounting team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of relevant experience in the field of Accounting, including period close, financial reporting and audit experience
Experience in working with operational teams
4+ years of people management including team management and development
Certified Public Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
