About the role

  • As an Optimizely Developer in the DigOps Development practice, you’ll contribute to the design and implementation of Optimizely-based solutions across Content Cloud (CMS), Commerce, and the surrounding ecosystem.
  • Develop in Optimizely CMS & Commerce: Build clean, maintainable features for dynamic content and commerce experiences.
  • Integrate systems and extend the platform: Integrate Optimizely solutions with third-party services and APIs (e.g. CRM, DAM, payment gateways, analytics), extending the platform’s capabilities while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Work Agile and own your deliverables: Participate actively in an Agile team environment – join in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and help estimate the effort for your tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with designers, QA engineers, project managers, and other developers to translate user stories and requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure quality through testing and best practices: Write unit tests and support quality assurance efforts through peer code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning. You will proactively fix bugs and optimize code, ensuring the solutions you deliver are stable, secure, accessible, and optimized for performance.
  • Engage in client-facing activities: Take part in client demos and technical discussions, clearly communicating progress and complex concepts in accessible terms.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Contribute to Rightpoint’s internal initiatives and the growth of the DigOps Dev practice. This might include sharing knowledge or best practices with peers, refining our development processes, creating reusable components or tools, and occasionally mentoring junior developers.

Requirements

  • Strong .NET development experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET (ASP.NET MVC and/or .NET Core), building modern web applications and services (e.g. RESTful APIs).
  • Optimizely CMS expertise: Experience developing on a content management system platform, preferably Optimizely Content Cloud. You know how to design content types and page templates, configure workflows, and use Optimizely’s APIs/admin interface to create an intuitive experience for content authors.
  • Front-end fundamentals and best practices: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and experience implementing responsive, user-friendly interfaces. You have awareness of web accessibility standards (WCAG), basic SEO considerations, and performance best practices to ensure the sites you build are fast and accessible to all users.
  • Collaborative development skills: Proficient with Git for version control and familiar with collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews). Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira to track work and communicate with your team.
  • Cloud and DevOps exposure: Familiarity with deploying .NET applications in cloud environments (Optimizely DXP on Azure or similar PaaS/SaaS hosting). Exposure to modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus – for example, you’ve used automated build/deploy tools or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in previous projects.
  • Communication and teamwork: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You work well in a team, collaborating across disciplines (UX, visual design, QA, project management) and contributing to a positive, productive working environment.
  • Self-management and problem solving: A self-motivated, proactive mindset. You can independently manage your tasks and deadlines, take initiative to solve problems, and are continually looking for ways to improve code, processes, and outcomes. Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies or techniques are part of who you are.
