About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Together with other experts in our Desktop Operations team, you will be responsible for the following tasks.
  • IT desktop support: handling user requests related to deployed hardware (Windows and Mac devices) and standard software.
  • Analyzing, resolving and documenting incidents in day-to-day operations.
  • Software management: managing, installing and maintaining provided applications.
  • Supporting software licensing and standardization efforts.
  • Network administration (Wi‑Fi): operating, monitoring and further developing the office WLAN infrastructure.
  • Assisting with network-related troubleshooting.
  • User administration: creating, modifying and deleting user accounts and permissions in Microsoft Azure / Entra ID.
  • Supporting role and permission concepts for Microsoft 365, Confluence, Jira and LDAP.
  • Cloud backup management: maintaining and monitoring cloud backups for Microsoft 365.
  • Security management: administering and operating Microsoft Defender.
  • Assessing and tracking security and sign-in risks within the Microsoft environment.
  • Participating in the advancement of IT security standards and processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Practical experience in IT support and system administration.
  • Experience administering macOS / Apple devices.
  • Basic knowledge of network and Wi‑Fi administration.
  • Experience with user and access management (e.g., LDAP, cloud tools).
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Intune, especially app packaging and rollout.
  • Creating and managing policies.
  • Good command of English.
  • Service- and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Structured, reliable and careful working style.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaborating with colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, a sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.
