About the role
- Own and continuously improve procurement processes across the full procure-to-order lifecycle
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and compliance risks and implement sustainable improvement initiatives
- Act as key user for SAP and other procurement systems, supporting testing, rollouts, system enhancements, and providing training and user guidance
- Define, monitor, and analyze procurement KPIs and develop reporting structures, dashboards, and controlling activities such as spend analysis and savings tracking
- Develop and maintain procurement tools, templates, methodological standards, and ensure consistent application of procurement policies, processes, and governance standards
- Drive data quality improvements within procurement systems and master data structures to enhance transparency and performance
- Support the procurement team with analytical insights, process guidance, and cross-functional collaboration with procurement, finance, controlling, IT, and business stakeholders
- Coordinate procurement sustainability activities, including environmental compliance, regulatory requirements, and CO₂ transparency
- Contribute to change management, training activities, and continuous improvement of the procurement organization
Requirements
- Completed studies in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in procurement or procurement-related functions, ideally with focus on processes and systems
- Practical understanding of procure-to-order processes and operational procurement workflows
- Strong experience working with SAP and other procurement tools; key-user experience is a plus
- Experience with procurement reporting, KPI tracking, and basic procurement controlling activities
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data quality, as well as hands-on, solution-oriented working style
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across functions (e.g., procurement, finance, controlling, IT, and business stakeholders)
- Fluent German and excellent English skills (written and spoken)
