About the role
- Hold overall responsibility for technical management and standards for RIEDEL technology within the motorsport segment
- Support the development and innovation of our technical standards for one of our largest projects
- Plan, implement, and operate communications, signaling, and intercom infrastructures for all racing events
- Coordinate and technically integrate Riedel systems
- Monitor system performance, analyze errors, and quickly troubleshoot issues during events
- Provide disciplinary leadership for the on-site technician team during series production
- Develop and implement onboarding strategies and training programs
- Participate in budget and workforce planning
- Take responsibility for employee development and performance management
- Oversee technical preparations, tests, and approvals before the season starts and throughout the series
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, project management, and the experts team
- Plan resources, shift schedules, and worldwide deployment of teams
Requirements
- Completed technical degree in media technology, communications engineering, IT, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in a senior technical management or project management role, ideally within international live event or broadcast environments
- At least 5 years of leadership experience including both technical and disciplinary management
- Deep knowledge of IP-based networks, intercom systems, broadcast technologies, and signal distribution
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, international environments
- Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams
- Willingness to travel worldwide
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
