About the role

  • Support the development of projects through all design stages.
  • Assist with calculations, sketches, diagrams, and working drawings for electrical building services.
  • Prepare specifications and equipment schedules under supervision.
  • Help gather and analyse technical data to inform project decisions.
  • Use digital tools such as BIM modelling, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Attend design workshops with architects, surveyors, and engineers.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Visit sites during construction phases to inspect and observe projects.
  • Contribute to project proposals and wider team initiatives.
  • Receive mentoring and structured training as part of RLB’s Future Professionals graduate programme.

Requirements

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
  • An interest in electrical building services and sustainable design.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (REVIT, AutoCAD, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible, adaptable, and resilient attitude.
