Vendor Management Specialist I
Ricoh UKSpecialist I overseeing vendor management, performance reviews, and contract coordination in a dynamic supply chain environment. Collaborating with teams for improved vendor service and compliance standards.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Owns the supply chain relationship with the vendors who supply inventory items and/or professional services.
- Participates in contract reviews and coordinates contract renewals, changes/addendums with appropriate internal teams.
- Negotiates pricing, improved lead times, and identifies opportunities for cost savings and avoidance.
- Leads vendor management reviews detailing vendor performance, spend, price changes and opportunities for improvement.
- Works with Supply Planners to mitigate impact from vendor service disruptions.
- Partners with Marketing team to support vendor selection and setup process.
- Establish standards and drive vendors to adhere to procurement procedures.
- Support RFQ/RFI initiatives.
- Manages the sourcing and item set up process and maintains vendor sourcing rules, sourcing assignments, and lead times.
- Collaborate with the off-site buyer team on PO execution, ensure KPI targets are met, and vendor updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree is Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in Supply Chain, manufacturing and/or vendor management environments.
- Strong mathematic and analytical skills
- Proficient ln MS Office Suite is required, with emphasis on Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write and present reports and recommendations.
- Experience in negotiation
- Experience in contract management
