About the role
- AI Integration: Design and implement systems to interface with large language models for coding applications.
- Prompt Engineering: Develop, refine, and optimize prompts for effective model interactions.
- Model Fine-Tuning: Tailor models to excel in coding-specific tasks, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Prototyping: Rapidly create and test AI-powered capabilities using Python and modern AI frameworks.
- Evaluation: Establish rigorous, repeatable frameworks to validate and ensure the robustness of AI features.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with core engineering to translate prototypes into polished production features.
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the vision for AI integration, staying on top of AI research and identifying innovative opportunities.
- Team Engagement: Actively participate in pair programming, code reviews, and team brainstorming sessions.
- May perform a variety of tasks at the direction of the management team.
Requirements
- Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Student studying Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related major preferred.
- Student should be pursuing a degree in a related major in the department of interest and possess some former work or internship experience.
- Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Student is to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire.
- Python programming
- Web development frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, or Flask/Django)
- SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
- Experience/Interest in Large Language Models / Deep Learning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Superior interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Possesses proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong expertise in machine learning and natural language processing.
- Proven experience working with large language models, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning.
- Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks.
- Experience with modern system programming languages.
- Demonstrated success in developing and deploying production-grade AI systems.
- Knowledge of AI agents and agentic control flow frameworks.
- Ability to lead strategic AI initiatives and self-direct projects.
- Passion for improving the coding experience through innovative developer tools.
