About the role
- Develop and support C++ software for print-related products on z/OS.
- Work on Networking, Job Management, Printer Management, Datastream Transformations, and User Interfaces.
- Participate in full software development lifecycle from requirements definition and analysis to final testing and build.
- Collaborate with team members and industry experts; work independently as required.
- Perform debugging, problem analysis, and apply software engineering best practices.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Solid UNIX background.
- Working knowledge of software engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
- Good self-management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Preferred: PL/X or other procedural, block-structured programming.
- Preferred: 370 Assembler Language.
- Preferred: z/OS System Programming Environment experience.
- Preferred: Experience with print-related software and data streams and mainframe systems.
- B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science or related field or relevant professional experience.
