About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the assembly, repair, and evaluation of rigid, semi-rigid, video, and flexible medical endoscopes and industrial adapters
  • Assembles, repairs, and evaluates medical endoscopes per accepted processes, procedures, and documentation, and is responsible for the quality of work
  • Assembles and disassembles electronic components
  • Performs cleaning and inspection of various components
  • Ensures assemblies will pass QC inspections or be reworked or replaced
  • Performs maintenance on department equipment and work areas used by the department as needed
  • Completes daily production documentation accurately
  • Provides cross-training for team members as needed
  • Maintains 6S on workspaces, equipment, and room cleaning as needed
  • Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures for assembly processes
  • Adheres to quality standards for assembly processes, and documents all work as per procedures
  • Adheres to all PPE and safety requirements
  • Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position
  • Completes all planned quality & compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager – Optics, and/or the Production Supervisor - Optics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of general manufacturing assembly or 1 year of small part assembly experience preferred
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts or overtime as needed to support production schedules and meet quality objectives
  • Ability to use microscopes, small tooling, soldering equipment, solvents & adhesives is preferred
  • Ability to cross train in multiple assemblies
  • Must possess ability to understand assembly drawings and written assembly procedures
  • Basic understanding of measuring devices and ability to use calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc. is preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) preferred
  • Basic PC skills
  • Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
