About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for handling all incoming cash and setting up requested payment services for customers.
Prepares remittances and enters daily SAP cash transactions, including bank deposits from lockbox, credit card payments, ACH payments and physical checks.
Processes credit card payments and preauthorizations as needed.
Processes reimbursements to customers regarding overpayments.
Follows up on all short payments.
Investigates and resolves payment discrepancies, including unidentified payments, overpayments, and returned payments.
Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities.
Works closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assists with financial year end audit if needed.
Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent
A.A. or A.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ SAP cash accounting experience
Ability to work effectively independently, as well as part of a team
Intermediate PC user, utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP required
Analytical aptitude in math and problem solving
Ability to understand and interpret basic business concepts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences is crucial for successful employment.
Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
