About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work under direct supervision on routine interior design tasks
Support project teams as a key support person
Assist in the development of the interior design concept
Assist with preparation of interior design construction documents
Assist in construction administration
Assist with meeting preparation
Participate in at least 1 Aspect of Practice
Manage time regarding project contract, schedule and fee
Complete tasks accurately with strong attention to detail
Uphold the firm’s core values
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree in Interior Design or related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional office
Honest, direct and constructive communication
Knowledge of finished materials, furniture and lighting
Basic knowledge of programming and functional analysis
Basic knowledge of space planning principles
Basic understanding of zoning, building and life safety codes
Basic knowledge of furniture, finish and fixture specifications
Manage time effectively regarding project contract, schedule and fee
Knowledge of computer software including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
Ability to hand sketch
Knowledge of the phases of the design process
Work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined
Gaining experience in preparation for NCIDQs/licensing
