About the role
- Product cost and logistics expense reduction: Map cost drivers (raw materials, processing, freight, warehousing, taxes) and identify saving levers (process, mix, contracts, productivity).
- Conduct variance analyses (price, mix, yield, volume) and propose countermeasures with owners, deadlines and targets.
- Support negotiations with suppliers/logistics operators using scenario models (should-cost, TCO, make-or-buy).
- Loss and obsolescence reduction: Implement and maintain provisioning models (obsolescence, breakage, shrinkage), the review cycle and disposition playbooks (clearance, remanufacturing, donation, recycling).
- Create and monitor loss KPIs by category/cluster/state (UF), with recurring root cause analysis and action plans with stakeholders.
- Improve service levels: Create and monitor a plan to measure projection accuracy vs. actuals (e.g., average purchase price, unit freight, COGS) and demand vs. fulfillment (fill rate, OTIF).
- Connect S&OP/IBP to finance: translate accuracy impacts into margin, inventory turnover and working capital.
- Risk mitigation: Design the methodology to monitor forecasted vs. actual revenues and costs by material type and volume, flagging deviations (statistical and threshold-based) and triggering owners.
- Ensure internal controls and adherence to policies (e.g., approval matrix, segregation of duties, audit evidence).
- Inventory and working capital management: Assess inventories with KPIs (days of inventory, turnover, excess & obsolete, coverage) and lead initiatives to reduce tied-up capital and optimize inventory levels while maintaining service.
- Support decisions on economic order quantity, safety stock, reorder points and planning parameters.
- Governance, data and insights: Build dashboards and management reports (Excel/Power BI) with a single source of truth; maintain a data dictionary and reporting cadences.
- Prepare executive packs for performance rituals (weekly/monthly) and committees (costs, inventory, S&OP).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics or Engineering.
- Preferred: Postgraduate/MBA in Controllership, Finance or Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in cost accounting (standard costing, variances, allocations, absorption, COGS) and financial analysis (P&L/management income statement, cash flow, CAPEX/OPEX).
- Advanced Excel (modeling, PivotTables, Power Query) and PowerPoint for financial storytelling; Power BI desirable.
- Experience with inventory metrics (turnover, coverage, excess & obsolete) and S&OP/IBP processes.
- Business acumen and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with ERPs (e.g., SAP/TOTVS) and data tools is a plus.
