About the role
- Provide legal support across a wide range of matters, assisting the Legal and Compliance team with day-to-day operations and ongoing initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including game provider, supplier, technology, marketing, and payment service provider (PSP) agreements.
- Assist with the management and protection of the Group’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademark registrations, renewals, and enforcement of IP rights, while supporting branding and marketing initiatives from a legal perspective.
- Support data protection and privacy compliance efforts, including reviewing data processing agreements, assisting with data subject requests, and ensuring ongoing adherence to GDPR and internal data governance policies.
- Support corporate, M&A and restructuring projects, including conducting legal due diligence, preparing corporate authorisations, and assisting with transaction execution and post-completion requirements.
- Contribute to effective corporate governance through the preparation and maintenance of board and committee materials, including agendas, resolutions, and minutes.
- Assist in dispute resolution and claims management, including player claims, contractual disputes, and litigation matters, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsel where required.
- Monitor, interpret, and advise on legislative and regulatory developments, assessing business impact, and providing commercially focussed legal guidance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualification experience, gained in-house or at a reputable law firm, and qualified to practise in an EU jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in commercial law, intellectual property and privacy matters, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of contracts and policies.
- Excellent organisational skills, ownership, and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables while effectively managing competing priorities.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify legal risks, provide practical guidance, and implement effective measures.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, able to build positive relationships, communicate effectively across teams, and contribute to a supportive environment.
