About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a key technical partner between customers, Sales, Product Management, R&D, and Operations
- Support customer accounts by selecting and recommending flow control refractory products and system solutions based on site-specific practices and requirements
- Spend time on site with customers, monitoring product performance, supporting startups and trials, and addressing technical questions or concerns
- Support and monitor service trials, including troubleshooting, fact-finding, and performance follow-up
- Prepare clear and concise trial and visit reports outlining results, findings, and recommendations
- Partner with Sales during customer visits to ensure our solutions deliver measurable value
- Provide hands-on training to internal teams and customer personnel on proper product installation and application
- Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and innovative solutions at customer sites
- Share customer feedback, performance insights, and improvement opportunities with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate internally to support product portfolio improvements and market rollout initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–5+ years of experience in the steel and/or refractory industry
- Working knowledge of continuous casting practices, with flow control or tundish experience preferred
- Experience working in heavy industrial plant environments
- Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges
- Strong relationship-building skills and comfort working with customers at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently while contributing to shared team goals
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with SAP or CAD drawings is a plus
- Willingness to travel and work in loud, industrial environments.
