About the role
- Manage business set-up on site.
- Conduct daily meetings with the customer. Oversee material ordering, warehousing, and distribution to installation points.
- Perform quality checks on refractory installations and mechanical parts.
- Monitor steel-making operating parameters and their impact on refractory performance.
- Supervise wrecking and collection of used materials.
- Ensure maintenance of installation equipment.
- Prepare monthly technical reports and invoicing information.
- Identify and manage subcontractors.
- Handle equipment/asset management and procurement.
- Maintain refractory material trial registers and reporting systems.
- Collaborate regularly with customers to meet their requirements.
- Register and resolve customer complaints with support from technical and services teams.
- Promote RHI Magnesita’s image and products.
- Report and act on non-conforming services or products.
- Record and report daily and monthly refractory performance and costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, materials engineering.
- And / or a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in refractory application within the steel sector.
- At least 5 years of experience with steel-making units: EAF, Ladle Furnace, and Caster.
- Excellent MS Office and PowerPoint skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership capabilities with high social competence and confident presence.
- Distinctive problem-solving skills and strong customer orientation.
