Estimator, Division 8
ReWorks SolutionsDivision 8 Estimator responsible for preparing cost estimates for construction projects involving doors, hardware, and locking systems. Collaborating with vendors and project managers in a remote capacity.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents for Division 8 scope requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for doors, frames, hardware, and locking systems
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and product information
- Analyze bid documents, addenda, and project revisions
- Prepare and submit proposals and bid packages within deadlines
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients regarding project requirements
- Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
- Ensure estimates align with company standards, project specifications, and industry regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in construction, doors and hardware, or related industry
- Knowledge of Division 8 products including doors, frames, hardware, and access control systems
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with commercial construction projects preferred
