About the role
- Conduct regular audits of client files, treatment plans, session notes, and supervision documentation to ensure compliance with clinical, payer, and regulatory standards
- Monitor adherence to BACB, state, and insurance documentation requirements
- Review behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and treatment plans for accuracy, completeness, and quality
- Identify documentation gaps, compliance risks, and operational inefficiencies
- Provide structured feedback to BCBAs and RBTs to improve documentation quality
- Track authorizations, reauthorizations, and payer compliance standards
- Develop and maintain QA checklists, auditing tools, and internal compliance systems
- Prepare QA reports and present findings to leadership
- Support corrective action plans and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with maintaining HIPAA compliance and internal policy adherence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, ABA, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- BCBA certification preferred (or strong ABA clinical knowledge)
- Minimum 2 years experience in an ABA setting
- Strong understanding of ABA documentation standards and insurance requirements
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., CentralReach or similar platforms)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
