About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, maintain, validate, and repair Revvity and/or multivendor instrumentation at customer sites
- Deliver customer training for instrument operation and user maintenance
- Serve as a member of the remote technical resolution team
- Partner with customers to understand analytical workflows and applications
- Communicate service offerings, including training, support, software, laboratory services products, and field upgrades
- Mentor and develop Customer Support Engineers in technical and soft skills
- Support local instrument sales representatives in securing new instrument orders
- Drive sales of new service agreements, upgrades, and instrument add-ons
- Review service contract offerings and deliverables
- Support customers and team members through organizational awareness of functional groups and product lines
- Contribute to account profitability through efficient service delivery
- Perform assigned administrative tasks efficiently
- Report product improvement opportunities through the quality notification process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related military experience
- 5+ years of laboratory and/or field service experience
- Demonstrated experience in instrumentation troubleshooting, repair, and qualification services
- Ability to travel by air, vehicle, and/or other means as business requires
- Valid driver’s license and safe motor vehicle operation
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and customer site safety codes
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and understand technical bulletins and service manuals
- Ability to work under time constraints while maintaining alertness and concentration
- Ability to work safely with potential electrical, chemical, radiologic, and biologic hazards using universal precautions
- Demonstrated experience handling advanced and complicated technical and interpersonal escalations
- Ability to drive miscellaneous business projects through completion
- Ability to operate a personal computer, enter data, and generate reports
- Clear and effective communication with peers, managers, customers, and technical support professionals
- Advanced knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory environments, and/or instrument control software
- Vendor-issued certification on relevant laboratory equipment
- Ability to regularly walk, stand, sit, talk, hear, handle tools and controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
- Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience using Microsoft 365 and other business software platforms
- Mass spectrometry experience preferred
- Automation experience preferred
