About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute the commercial growth strategy for Revolution Foods' Adult Nutrition and Community Feeding business.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within publicly funded nutrition and community feeding programs.
- Build executive relationships with Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), managed care organizations, healthcare systems, municipalities, counties, community organizations, and government agencies.
- Lead complex sales pursuits from opportunity identification through contract execution, including formal RFP, RFQ, and bid processes.
- Navigate long enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, procurement teams, funding agencies, and executive decision makers.
- Develop strategies around federal, state, county, and local funding programs that support adult nutrition initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Culinary, Finance, Nutrition, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership to develop compelling customer solutions.
- Represent Revolution Foods at industry conferences, networking events, and key customer meetings.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Mentor and coach junior business development professionals while helping establish scalable sales processes and best practices.
- Build a healthy sales pipeline and accurately forecast business opportunities using CRM tools.
- Help establish the foundation for a standalone Adult Nutrition business as the channel continues to grow.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Nutrition, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 7–15+ years of progressive business development or enterprise sales experience within the Adult Nutrition Industry.
- 3–5+ years managing complex enterprise sales cycles with institutional customers.
- Demonstrated success winning opportunities ranging from $500K to $10M+.
- Extensive experience managing formal RFP, RFQ, and government procurement processes.
- Proven ability to build executive-level relationships across public and private sector organizations.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading less experienced sales professionals.
- Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to build a new market and operate with significant autonomy.
- Willingness to travel throughout California as business needs require.
