About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing system-level engineering support and expertise to a cross-functional team.
Providing preliminary solutions to engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity in an expeditious, efficient, and timely manner.
Researches, designs, implements, and tests technology solutions.
Troubleshoots software and/or hardware issues/failures.
Collects and presents data for reporting and planning.
Design, implement and maintain the organization's computer systems and networks, including servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
Manage and maintain the organization's security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management systems.
Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in the field and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
Support continuous improvement of systems engineering, user experience, and agile development processes.
Assess complex projects with a variety of requirements quickly, correctly prioritize tasks, provide accurate time estimates, and complete tasks in a timely manner while communicating changes and updates.
Functions as a technical expert for the implementation and operational support.
Troubleshoot workstation/server related problems and quickly resolve issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Understanding of basic software development principles - configuration control, collaborative development, formal processes
Experience in reading and developing algorithm descriptions, mathematical expressions and derivations, matrix manipulations, outlier analysis, and system level analysis
Experience performing data analysis and problem solving (e.g. anomaly investigation)
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years' experience in the Systems Engineering field.
Proficiency in SharePoint, MS Project, and Excel.
